If you download the 60-day Evaluation Copy of the Champ Class Library from our site or obtain it in any other way, your use is governed by the following Shareware User License Agreement and Limited Warranty(1) Introduction. This agreement explains when and how you may use Shareware Copies of software products from Salvisberg Software & Consulting. In this agreement:
(2) Legal Agreement. This is a legal agreement which allows you, the end user, to use the Library under certain terms and conditions. If you cannot agree to abide by what this Agreement says you should not use or evaluate the Library. (3) Copyright. The Library is fully protected by copyright under national law and international treaty provisions. It is and remains our valuable intellectual property. (4) Evaluation Period. You may use a Shareware Copy of the Library for an evaluation period of up to 60 days, in order to determine whether the program meets your needs before purchasing it. Once the evaluation period ends, you agree to either purchase a Registered Copy of the Library, or to stop using it. If you have ordered a Registered Copy of the Library from us or from a dealer, you may continue to use your Shareware Copy until your Registered Copy arrives. (5) Use of the Library. While you are evaluating the Library, you may use it on as many computers as are required to perform your evaluation. If you are responsible for supporting other users, you may install the Library on their computers for evaluation purposes, provided you either remove it or purchase the appropriate number of licenses when the evaluation period ends. Your 60-day evaluation period begins when you first install the Library on one or more computers for evaluation purposes. Once the evaluation period is over and you purchase the Library, your use is subject to the Registered User License Agreement. (6) Prohibited Use of the Library. You may not permit other individuals to use the Library except under the terms listed here. You may not modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works that substantially duplicate the functionality of the Library, without our advance written permission. You may not change, remove, or disable any proprietary notices in the Library. All rights not specifically granted in this Agreement are reserved. (7) Making and Distributing Shareware Copies of the Library. You may make copies of your Shareware Copy of the Library to give to others, as long as you include all of the files that you originally received with your Shareware Copy. When you give a Shareware Copy of the Library to another person, you agree to inform them that their copy is to be used for a time-limited evaluation period, and that they must purchase a Registered Copy if they continue to use the Library once the evaluation period has ended. You agree not to sell Shareware Copies of the Library or distribute them to others for any kind of compensation or fee beyond reasonable costs of distribution. (8) Using Compiled Programs. Programs you create using a Shareware Copy of the Library are strictly for your own use. You may not distribute or make them available to anyone else for free or otherwise. (9) Operation of the Library. The Library offers powerful capabilities. If you do not follow our instructions, or if you use the Library improperly, you can destroy files or cause other damage to your software and data. You assume full responsibility for the selection and use of the Library to achieve your intended results. (10) DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS. And now the legal language we
